I was elected in 2007 and I represent the Ward of Witherley, Sheepy and Twycross.
I’ve spent the majority of my life living within that area, from the age of 2 when my family moved from Derby.
It is a very rural area with the largest industry geographically being agriculture and I have been lucky enough to be part of that industry all of my life, only recently retiring.
I have 3 parishad area’s and the communities range from large villages to very small rural hamlets.
I spent 12 years as Parish councillor before being elected to the Borough Council where I have sat on numerous Comittees and was portfolio holder for Rural affairs
I am still very much involved with Sheepy Memorial hall as treasurer and a local charity providing affordable housing and financial support to local villagers.
After a lifetime In my community’s I feel I have an understanding and respect for their needs and aspirations, it has been a pleasure to represent and support the residents.
