I am Councillor Chris Boothby and was first elected to Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council in May 2003 and have represented my ward of Ratby , Bagworth and Thornton since then being re-elected a further 4 times with an increased majority. I sit only on the Planning Committee as Lead Member for the Conservative Group but have previously held the roles of Cabinet Member for Rural Issues and held the very first Rural Conference on 2004. I then became Executive Member for Housing and Community Safety which i was very proud of building the first Council Housing Stock in over 30 years an the refurbishment of Ambion Court.
Also i am a Parish Councillor for Ratby and the Parade Marshal on Remembrance Day. Apart from representing my ward , i think my biggest achievement is starting the Northern Parishes Community Response Team that covered 5 villages during the initial lockdown starting on 16th March 2020 , with 2 Co-ordinators and Volunteers delivering food , medicine collection and personal shopping which is still going on today.
Day to day i work closely with residents and deal their needs.
Regards
Chris Boothby.
