David Tredinnick MP has joined disability rights campaigners today to call on the Government to make Changing Places toilets compulsory in new buildings to ensure that all people with disabilities can have access to a basic right – the use of a toilet.  

Tredinnick Secures A5 Debate

Today in Parliament David Tredinnick MP secured a debate calling for an upgrade of the local section of the A5.

Following the debate David Tredinnick said, “It is important that this key section of the A5, for both the national and regional economies, receives the required investment and upgrade. This debate allows people living on both sides of the A5 the opportunity to see their representatives in Parliament making the case to radically improve the current situation.”

Conservatives Win Burbage By-Election

The Conservative Party has won the Burbage Sketchley & Stretton ward in the Borough Council by-election.  David MacDonald, a racecourse director who turned 55 on the day of the poll, was the winning candidate.

Significant Investment in Local NHS Transformation

Local hospitals will benefit from a share of £325 million in new capital investment for NHS projects across the country with Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland receiving £30m-£50m to help the NHS modernise and transform care for patients in the area.
